Draw to – units
How to mix a vial
- Wash your hands and wipe both vial tops with alcohol.
- Draw the bacteriostatic water into a new syringe.
- Push it slowly down the inside wall of the peptide vial, not onto the powder.
- Swirl or roll gently until clear. Do not shake.
- Label the vial with the date and keep it in the fridge.
Reading the syringe
On a 100-unit (1 mL) insulin syringe, 100 units = 1 mL, so 10 units = 0.1 mL. More water makes each unit hold less peptide, which makes small amounts easier to measure.
