Vesugen protocol

Vesugen is a 3-amino-acid peptide (Lys-Glu-Asp, KED) from a Russian research group. It has been tested in cell cultures and in small human reports. No large trial exists.

Not approved as a drug in the US or EUOnly small human reports; no large or independent trials found

The protocol at a glance

No dose is set. The human reports I could read used it by mouth and did not state the amounts.

Studied inCell cultures and small human reports

Human reports come from a 2015 gerontology study and a 2021 review of KED. ClinicalTrials.gov lists no Vesugen trial (searched 5 Nov 2026).

Community reports

Community notes report 500 mcg to 2 mg a day for 10 to 30 days. These are user reports, not trial data.

What people say they do, collected from community discussions. Not tested in a trial; shown so you can compare it with the evidence above.

Mixing

No mixing table here: this one is used as a capsule, nasal spray or skin product, or has no human amount to calculate from. The general mixing calculator works for any vial.

What the trials found

Small human reports. No effect sizes are given in the abstracts:

32People aged 41 to 83 in a study of Vesugen and Pinealon; Vesugen showed the larger slowing of biological aging by the authors' measures
ElderlyA 2021 review says oral KED improved memory and attention in older people with brain function problems (no numbers given)

Adv Gerontol 2015 (PMID 26390612); Bull Exp Biol Med 2021 (PMID 34173097).

Side effects

  • The 2015 study found signs of more oxidant activity and fewer CD34+ blood stem cells, which its authors read as slower blood-cell production.
  • No large safety trial exists.

How it works

Gene activity (lab)

In cell cultures KED changed genes for cell ageing and nerve-cell development.

Blood-vessel cells (lab)

In artery cell cultures it brought endothelin-1 back toward normal.
