The protocol at a glance
The studies used short daily courses of 5 to 10 days. The one dose I could read clearly is 1 mg a day for 10 days, repeated 3 times a month apart.
| Study | Amount and length |
|---|---|
| Colorectal cancer, 57 patients | 1 mg a day for 10 days, repeated 3 times, 1 month apart |
| Surgical patients, 63 (double-blind) | Into the muscle once a day for 7 or 10 days (amount unreadable in my copy) |
| Gum disease in older adults, 250+ | Under the gum lining daily for 5 to 10 days (amount unreadable in my copy) |
All three come from the developing group's own 2014 review (Khavinson, Kuznik, Ryzhak). Only the 63-patient trial is called double-blind and randomized. The unit symbol was lost in the PDF text I read, so I left those two amounts out.
Community notes report 200 mcg to 1 mg a day for 10 to 20 days. These are user reports, not trial data.
What people say they do, collected from community discussions. Not tested in a trial; shown so you can compare it with the evidence above.
Mixing
No mixing table here: this one is used as a capsule, nasal spray or skin product, or has no human amount to calculate from. The general mixing calculator works for any vial.
What the trials found
Results are as reported in the developers' review. Most studies were add-on designs without blinding mentioned:
Khavinson VKh, Kuznik BI, Ryzhak GA. Adv Gerontol 2014;4(4):346-361 (clinical-trials review by the developers). No independent replication found.
Side effects
- The review reports fewer complications and fewer chemotherapy side effects in the cancer group, and gives no side-effect table.
- No independent safety data found.
How it works
Developer-reported
The developers say Vilon speeds tissue repair and boosts immune cells. These claims come from their own review.
Gene activity (lab)
In human stem-cell cultures, the KE peptide raised SIRT1 and lowered PARP1 and PARP2.
